University of Cantabria Showcases PLAST4H2 Project at Key Dissemination Events

The University of Cantabria actively participated in two significant outreach events in 2024, presenting the PLAST4H2 project (“Plastic Circularity through an Efficient Detection, Collection, and Valorization into Hydrogen and Value-Added Products”) to diverse audiences and promoting awareness of the project’s objectives.

On February 11–12, during the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the University of Cantabria participated in several presentations aimed at encouraging young women to pursue careers in STEM fields. As part of the event, the PLAST4H2 project was introduced to attendees, presenting the innovative technologies being developed to address plastic waste challenges and foster sustainable solutions.

On September 27, the University participated in the European Researchers’ Night in Santander, Spain. This event provided an opportunity to engage the general public in scientific discovery and innovation. The PLAST4H2 project poster was displayed in the event allowing visitors to explore its cutting-edge approaches to plastic valorization and hydrogen production. Researchers from the University of Cantabria shared insights into their work, sparking curiosity and discussions about the project’s impact on environmental sustainability.

Both events highlighted the University’s commitment to advancing science communication and fostering a dialogue between researchers and society, with PLAST4H2 serving as a prime example of the transformative potential of research in addressing global challenges.
