PLAST4H2 Featured at the II International Workshop on Marine Litter in the Atlantic

On December 12, 2024, II International Workshop on the Origin, Distribution, and Fate of Marine Litter in the Atlantic was held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The event brought together experts to address the growing issue of plastic pollution, focusing on the physical and chemical processes influencing marine litter, especially around the Canary Islands.

Alfredo de la Moneda from Innoceana presented a poster showcasing the PLAST4H2 project and its innovative approach to converting non-recyclable waste plastics into sustainable energy resources. The presentation highlighted the project’s contribution to ocean conservation and circular economy initiatives. The workshop promoted collaboration among researchers, industry stakeholders, and policymakers, emphasizing the importance of global and regional efforts to reduce marine litter and its long-term impacts. PLAST4H2’s participation highlighted its commitment to addressing these challenges and promoting sustainable solutions for the Atlantic region.
