TUS Participates in the BioDirect 2.0 Manufacturing Roundtable in Ireland

Dr Chaitra Venkatesh from Technological University of the Shannon participated in the BioDirect 2.0 Manufacturing Roundtable held on February 26, 2026, at the Irish Manufacturing Research Centre in Mullingar. The event was organised by the Circular Bioeconomy Cluster in collaboration with leading organisations across the circular bioeconomy ecosystem.

The roundtable brought together representatives from industry, research institutions, funding bodies, and policymaking organisations to discuss strategies for accelerating innovation and collaboration within the circular bioeconomy sector. The event focused on advancing sustainable products and technologies, strengthening circular bioeconomy value chains, and promoting policy innovation to support the transition toward a more sustainable and resource-efficient economy.

The event also provided an important platform for networking and knowledge exchange among stakeholders committed to the development of circular and bio-based solutions. Discussions highlighted the key role of collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers in supporting innovation and driving the transition toward more sustainable manufacturing systems.
