Innoceana participates in MARLICE 2026 to promote circular solutions for cleaner oceans

The Innoceana team participated in MARLICE 2026, held in Tenerife from May 19 to 21, 2026.

On Wednesday, May 20, Alfredo de La Moneda participated in the roundtable discussion “Circular Solutions for Clean Oceans.” The conference brought together speakers and innovative initiatives focused on advancing a more sustainable economy, including Amaia Rodríguez, CEO of Gravity Wave, working on the recovery and revalorization of fishing nets; Denisa Gibovic, CEO of Blue Room Innovation, specializing in ocean data collection; and Íñigo José Núñez, CEO and President of Ewaste, who contributed an entrepreneurial perspective.

As part of the dissemination activities of the PLAST4H2 project, the presentation entitled “PLAST4H2: From Plastic Waste to Resource – Distribution and Characterization of Plastic Waste in Tenerife for Innovation in the Circular Economy” was also delivered during the conference. The session presented some of the project’s latest findings and highlighted the significant progress achieved so far in transforming plastic waste into valuable resources for circular economy applications and cleaner energy alternatives.

Throughout the conference, additional innovations and projects were showcased, all focused on reducing plastic consumption and promoting waste revalorization in order to achieve cleaner and healthier oceans.
