Collaborative action for a Blue Circular Economy: Plast4H2 featured at BluePoint Seminar

On May 13, 2025, Dr. Chaitra Venkatesh participated as a speaker at a seminar hosted by the BluePoint project at Atlantic Technological University, Sligo. Both BluePoint and Plast4H2 are funded under the Interreg Atlantic Area programme, aiming to advance a Blue Circular Economy through innovative approaches to marine plastic management.

Dr. Chaitra presented an overview of the Plast4H2 project, outlining its objectives and current activities. The presentation also highlighted the involvement of the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), which contributes by applying its in-house developed technologies to transform marine plastics into eco-friendly materials.

The seminar featured multiple expert speakers who shared insights into technologies for detecting, collecting, and repurposing marine plastics, turning environmental challenges into opportunities for sustainable economic and social development
