PLAST4H2 highlighted at MOHIDing 2025

On June 25–26, PLAST4H2 was featured at MOHIDing 2025, held at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. This annual event brought together users and developers of the MOHID modelling system to exchange knowledge and advance the modelling of complex water systems.

Representing @maretec_tecnico, researchers Catarina Querido and Sara Capucho presented their latest work on the numerical modelling of floating plastic transport and accumulation, developed within the scope of PLAST4H2.

Using MOHID, their research focuses on understanding transport dynamics and identifying plastic accumulation zones, key steps toward developing effective marine litter mitigation strategies and supporting circular economy initiatives.

The presentation of PLAST4H2 at MOHIDing highlights the project’s commitment to science-based solutions for tackling ocean plastic pollution.
